1 Simple Health Hack EVERYONE Can (& Should) Do!
This will improve your energy, balance your blood sugar, reduce pain & boost your metabolism. Heck yes, now what is it?!
It is scheduling in “Movement Breaks” and/or “Exercise Snacks” throughout your day.
It’s something I do ALL day long, and makes such a difference!
Why are “movement or exercise snacks” so beneficial? These short bouts of physical activity have been shown to:
Improve blood sugar balance & insulin sensitivity: this is KEY for a healthy metabolism, bodyweight & composition and reducing any chance of diabetes
Increase physical & mental energy: Movement actually CREATES more energy, as it brings blood flow and oxygen to the brain & entire body.
Improved digestion: movement helps to stimulate our digestion & reduce bloat, improving overall gut health
Plus, more overall physical activity supports improves mobility, can reduce pain & stiffness, and more steps/activity = improves metabolic output, which helps with improving muscle tone & losing body fat.
What to do? Start with even just 5, 10, 15 minutes of walking or 5 minutes of exercise, spaced out during your day.
The idea is that these movement “snacks” stimulate glucose uptake out of the bloodstream, potentially improving overall carbohydrate metabolism.
Examples:
➡Morning Wake Up: Repeat 3 times through:
-Jumping Jacks – 12 reps or 30 seconds

-Step up on stairs/lunges or butt kicks 20 per leg or 30 seconds/per side
➡Lunch Time: Walk for 5-15 minutes
