5 Habits of Successful Clients
Are you ready for some insider scoop?! Keep reading below…I’m sharing 5 Habits that my Most Successful Clients have!
What do my most successful clients do when it comes to their health and nutrition? We all want results and remember that success looks different for everyone. However, I wanted to share with you 5 habits of my clients who get results AND maintain them. These aren’t all of them, but all of my clients implement these basic foundational principles for optimal health and long term results!
Habit 1: They eat balanced meals: What is a balanced meal? It is one that healthy portions, appropriate to their body, and quality sources of sources of protein, carbohydrates and fat. This approach not only provides a balance of macronutrients, but also aids in keeping blood sugar stable, energy levels high and cravings at a minimum.
Habit 2: They eat veggies: Veggies provide bulk to your diet without a lot of calories, and help fill you up while providing you with many healthy vitamins and minerals. Challenge yourself to eat more veggies. Ideas for eating your veggies throughout the day include spinach to a breakfast smoothie, making salads, a stir fry, or adding them to soups. Another way to eat more veggies is to add them to your 3 compartment containers when you meal prep.
Habit 3: They drink their water! Aiming for at least half of your bodyweight in ounces of water per day is ideal, and more if you’re active! Water is actually a nutrient that our body needs to aid in digestion, detoxification, brain function and so much more. We are over 60% water! They’ve learned to take their water bottle (non-plastic of course) everywhere they go!
Habit 4: They don’t restrict: They’ve learned that extreme diets and measures don’t work long term. If you deprive yourself completely, chances are you’ll eventually cave in and end up eating more and probably feel guilty and ashamed that “you were bad”. Is this you? It’s important to find the right balance for YOU. You can enjoy certain foods on occasion and still reach your goals!
Habit 5: They focus on Consistency rather than Perfection: They realized that perfection doesn’t exist and that aiming for it only leads to feeling frustrated! Instead of trying to overhaul everything at once & eat healthy 100% of the time. They’ve realized that LIFE happens and that is more important to be consistent, slowly building habits that are sustainable, rather than drastic changes at all once. Because you’ve tried that and they don’t work, remember? 😊
Other healthy behaviors that are common among some of my successful clients that you can consider include keeping a food log, eating and prepping real – non processed foods, and setting short and long term goals for the changes you want to achieve.
