Is your Deodorant Toxic?

Research is finding that low level, chronic exposure to toxins is negatively affecting our health across the board. It’s quite scary that less than 2% of products are tested & regulated. The chemicals found in U.S. self care, beauty, cleaning products are BANNED in other countries!! 😳😳 I know it can be overwhelming to start to live a more “chemical free” lifestyle.
One of the easiest placest start is with your deodorant. Wait, really? Yes, your Dove, Degree or Speed Stick is not good for you.

The two main reasons to avoid conventional deodorants:
1) They block normal physiological production of sweat
Perspiration is a healthy normal process of the body to regulate temperature & release
toxins. Yes, we are meant to sweat!
Detoxification happen through our: sweat, respiration, bladder & gut pathways. We need to detoxify daily in order to assimilate & release toxins, hormones, waste etc.

2) They contain toxic ingredients
Conventional products contain:
❌Aluminum:This metal has been linked to seizures, breast cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and kidney problems. Aluminum compounds get absorbed into the skin and blood stream, and suspected to mimic estrogen.
❌”Fragrances”, Phthalates & Parabens, which have been deemed hormone disruptors
❌Neurotoxin Propylene Glycol

Applying these toxins on your armpits & near your lymph nodes (areas meant for detoxification) is a recipe for that chronic toxic exposure 🙈
So it’s time to break up with these nasty products. There are many natural, chemical free brands! I found all of these at Target!

Note that when you switch over you MAY sweat more at first. This is normal! Remember that your conventional deodorant has been surpressing normal sweat production for YEARS. Give your body a few weeks to normalize…it will get better I promise.
